Very local pub that was once a coaching Inn and does delicious food with a local slant and is always very busy throughout the summer. Pub meals and a restaurant menu with specials changing daily. It has won a number of awards and comes highly recommended. Substantial garden with play area.

Popular village pub with up market food menu recently added a conservatory. Outside garden.

Great food, friendly staff and lively atmosphere. Variety of menus from simple good bar choices such as to their signature dish HRH’s Sandringham estate rib-eye with bernaise at £26. Worth a visit if you are looking for good pub food or maybe a special occasion splurge. Large outside gardens with play area. Booking advisable.

A Norfolk Institution, packed with character always amazingly busy. Eat in the bar as prices much less than the restaurant and a lovely conservatory to eat in .Close to the beach. Outside terrace with play area.
- The Hoste Inn, Burnham Market (20 minute drive)
A wonderful building set in an idyllic setting of a village green. Has won many local and national awards – Signature dishes include oysters (oriental, tempura or rarebit) or 21 day New York steak. Best to book a couple of weeks ahead. Outside garden and in the summer a great alfresco restaurant.
- White Horse, Brancaster Staithe (15 minute drive)
A lovely conservatory restaurant with sun deck terrace and adjoining dining area with spectacular sea views over Brancaster and Scolt head Island. Emphasis is on seafood but overall standards for food and service “can vary”. Expect to pay about £45 a head. Good for lunch or perfect for an early evening drink at sunset. For diners early booking is advisable.
- Titchwell Manor, Titchwell (15 minute drive)
Fine dining in more formal setting. Emphasis on seafood with a menu that’s a little bit different. About £45 a head. Booking advisable.
- Yurt Restauarant, Thornham (15 minute drive)
Opened in 2009, the Yurt is a large, round, semi-permanent tent with vertical walls and a conical roof. Inside you’ll find a gentle Turkish-cum-Moroccan style interior, with lamps, lanterns and low tables with reclined wicker chairs alongside more conventional blue wooden dining furniture. The atmosphere is ambient with peaceful music and no urgency to hurry. Food relies on local ingredients such as Yurt fish stew, slow roast lamb or butternut squash risotto.

Upmarket Café format with great breakfasts and lunches with a varied but always fresh menu.- very popular so booking at weekends advisable. Lots of Outside tables.
- Byford Café / Deli, Holt (20 minute drive)
Family-run upmarket deli with a real emphasis on delicious home-made food. A local institution. Very popular venue especially when shopping in Holt but booking is absolutely essential at weekends in summer.
- Morston Hall, Morston (25 minute drive)
Galton Blackiston’s restaurant, and the only one with 3 red rosette’s and a Michelin Star award within a 50 mile radius. For serious foodies as you should expect to pay about £60 a head. Early booking is essential.
